Ruzan

Introduction

Ruzan, known to its speakers as Valachi, is the primary language spoken in Ruza, a large peninsula on the continent of Akrei. It's spoken by approximately 5 million people as a first language.

There are three officially recognized dialects of Ruzan: Northern aka Xelosachi, Central aka Medosachi, and Southern aka Isoachi. There are also dozens if not hundreds of more regional dialects that aren't officially recognized by the state. This page documents Medosachi, which is the dialect taught in schools.

Ruza is an authoritarian kingdom ruled by magical kings. It was first inhabited over 5,000 years ago by a village of world-walkers who were swept into a portal and stranded on the Ruzan peninsula. Since then, the population has grown, the culture has changed significantly, and the language has developed far past its PIE roots.
